The tragic murder of TikToker Sana Yousaf has sparked nationwide grief and demands for swift justice. During a visit to her home, a Federal Minister shared heartfelt condolences with her family and addressed the media directly, highlighting both the seriousness of the case and the government’s commitment to ensure justice.
He said:
“We will pursue every legal step properly. But what hurts is that those who came here just for photo ops were not seen during the court hearing. They post about her for likes, but they don’t show up in court. If this case is truly being taken seriously, their presence in court matters too. Our side has the strength and we’ll stand by them. The Lawyer Forum will support as much as it can. Both the Prime Minister and Interior Minister have taken serious notice. I came here out of duty, to grieve and assure the family that even as time passes, we won’t let this case lose focus. A legal committee is being formed that will consistently follow the case so the culprit gets punished soon.”
The Minister also used the moment to warn about the dangers of TikTok misuse, especially when it comes to the safety of young girls:
“TikTok has benefits, but it’s also caused harm. Girls are blackmailed and harassed on these platforms. People must use this space with caution. We need laws and forums that ensure their protection.”
Appreciating the authorities’ swift action, he added:
“I thank the police for arresting the accused within hours, and I thank the Prime Minister and administration. This case should become a test case, so no child ever faces such a fate again. The accused must be given the harshest punishment.”
His words send a clear message: this case is not just about one life lost, but about making sure no more are lost the same way.
