A major breakthrough was achieved during a CTD intelligence-based operation in Gojra, where two most-wanted criminals were neutralized. The suspects, identified as Waqas and Inam-ul-Haq, were hiding in the area when law enforcement launched a planned raid based on secret information.
As CTD personnel closed in, the suspects opened fire, leading to an intense gunfight that lasted over 30 minutes. Both were eventually captured in wounded condition, but succumbed to their injuries during hospital transfer.
