The Armed Forces of Pakistan, in their unwavering commitment to eliminate terrorism, successfully neutralized a total of 35 Khwarij, identified as members of the Indian-sponsored group Fitna al Khwarij, in two separate and intense engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province between September 10 and 13.

Intelligence-Based Operation in Bajaur District

Following intelligence reports regarding the presence of Khwarij, an intelligence-based operation was conducted by Security Forces in the Bajaur District. The operation was meticulously planned and executed, with troops effectively engaging the militants’ location. After a fierce and sustained fire exchange, 22 Indian-sponsored Khwarij were eliminated. The successful operation underscores the precision and effectiveness of Pakistan’s security apparatus in countering terrorist threats.

Encounter in South Waziristan District

In a separate engagement in the South Waziristan District, Security Forces intercepted another group of Khwarij. During the intense fire exchange that ensued, 13 more militants were neutralized. However, during the gallant fight, 12 brave sons of the soil paid the ultimate sacrifice, embracing martyrdom. Their selfless acts of valor and devotion to duty are a testament to the unwavering resolve of the Pakistani Armed Forces.

Recoveries, and Concerns

A significant cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the neutralized militants. These Khwarij were confirmed to have been actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the region, posing a direct threat to the safety and security of the local population.

Intelligence reports have also confirmed the physical involvement of Afghan Nationals in these heinous acts, highlighting a grave concern regarding the continued use of Afghan soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan by Fitna al Khwarij. Pakistan reiterates its expectation that the Interim Afghan Government will uphold its responsibilities under international law and deny its soil for use by terrorists against Pakistan.

Commitment to Eradicating Terrorism

Sanitization operations are currently underway to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored Khwarij in the area. The Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country. The sacrifices of our brave men serve as a powerful catalyst, further strengthening our resolve to protect the nation’s sovereignty and ensure lasting peace. The nation honors its martyrs and stands united against all threats to its security.
