The discussions focused on a three-pronged approach to the crisis: securing the immediate release of all hostages, ending the ongoing hostilities, and outlining a strategic vision for Israel’s eventual withdrawal from Gaza. President Trump praised the leaders present for their collective efforts, stating, “You all have done an excellent job, which is commendable.”
According to reports from U.S. media, President Trump outlined Washington’s vision for a post-conflict Gaza, which explicitly excludes Hamas from future administrative control. He also called on the participating nations to consider providing military support to facilitate Israel’s withdrawal and to contribute financially to the reconstruction and stabilization efforts in the war-torn territory.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s presence in this critical dialogue underscores Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the people of Palestine and its proactive role in seeking a peaceful and just resolution to the conflict. The meeting included notable leaders such as Turkiye’s President Tayyip Erdogan, Jordan’s King Abdullah, Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto and United Arab Emirates’ Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The meeting marks a significant diplomatic effort to leverage regional influence to bring an end to the crisis and pave the way for a more stable future in Gaza.
