Meta has unveiled an Urdu-language version of its artificial intelligence platform, Meta AI, marking a major step toward digital inclusivity in Pakistan. The launch took place at the “Future in Focus: AI and Innovation” event, held in collaboration with the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication (MoITT).

The company said the initiative aims to “accelerate Pakistan’s digital transformation,” enabling users to interact with Meta AI in both English and Urdu.
Federal IT Minister Shaza Fatima hailed the move as part of the Prime Minister’s Digital Nation Vision, saying it will help make technology “more inclusive and accessible.”
Meta’s regional director, Sarim Aziz, emphasized that the platform will support AI education and innovation across public and educational institutions.
Meta also introduced the AI Literacy Program to train 350 university teachers in AI fundamentals and launched the Government Digital Transformation Xperience (GDTX) 2025, aimed at strengthening collaboration between Pakistan’s public and private sectors.
