A central focus of the trip will be the finalization of the Pakistan-GCC Free Trade Agreement and the expansion of the Special Investment Facilitation Council’s reach into sectors such as IT, renewable energy, and mining. Defense remains a cornerstone of the partnership, with talks expected to cover cybersecurity and maritime connectivity between Pakistan’s deep-sea ports and Bahrain’s Khalifa bin Salman Port. Additionally, President Zardari will prioritize the welfare of the 120,000-strong Pakistani diaspora in the Kingdom, acknowledging their vital role in supporting the national economy through remittances. This visit underscores Pakistan’s commitment to a “brotherly” alliance anchored in shared faith and mutual prosperity.
