Focus on Counter-Terrorism and Interoperability
The exercise is specifically designed to focus on the counter-terrorism (CT) domain. It aims to enhance mutual understanding and interoperability between the two forces through the shared exchange of combat experiences. A significant portion of the training will be dedicated to refining tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) essential for high-intensity CT operations.
Key Training Objectives
During the intensive fourteen-day program, the participating troops will focus on:
- Urban Warfare: Specialized training in marksmanship and tactical movement within dense urban environments.
- Doctrinal Exchange: Deepening the understanding of each other’s operational doctrines and military best practices.
- Capacity Building: Improving professional military standards and the ability to operate effectively in complex security landscapes.
Strategic Importance
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has termed the exercise of “vital importance” in the context of addressing evolving regional and global security challenges. The military media wing noted that ‘Inspired Gambit 2026’ serves as a testament to the continued commitment of both Pakistan and the United States toward collaborative efforts for regional peace and stability.
The ceremony was attended by senior military officials from both sides, marking another milestone in the long-standing military-to-military cooperation between the two nations.
