Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, issued an urgent appeal for all Pakistani nationals to register with the embassy for immediate repatriation. The announcement comes as the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran enters a more volatile phase, with Ambassador Tipu warning that logistical hurdles, specifically a severe shortage of buses, are making it increasingly difficult to arrange safe departures from the country.

A special appeal was directed at Pakistanis currently in Qom, a major center for pilgrims and students, urging them to cooperate with embassy staff to avoid further delays. This mass evacuation effort follows a high-level security review chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to prioritize the safety of thousands of stranded Pakistanis, including tourists, traders, and students.
