Jeddah — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar delivered a forceful address at the extraordinary session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) on Monday, urging the Muslim world and the international community to take seven urgent steps to halt Israel’s aggression in Gaza and ensure lasting peace in Palestine.

Mr. Dar emphasized that the international community must act decisively to stop Israel’s “war crimes, crimes against humanity, and its systematic campaign of displacement and annexation.”

Seven-Point Action Plan Presented by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar

  • Immediate, permanent, and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza.
  • Unfettered and sustained humanitarian access for all civilians, including food, water, fuel, and medicine.
  • Strengthened international support for UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees.
  • End to forced displacement of Palestinians and illegal Israeli settlements.
  • Implementation of the OIC’s Gaza Reconstruction Plan to rebuild devastated communities.
  • Revival of the two-state solution process, in line with international law and UN resolutions.
  • Accountability for Israeli war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Warning Against ‘Greater Israel’ Agenda

The Foreign Minister strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent remarks endorsing the creation of a so-called “Greater Israel,” terming them a “direct threat to Arab national security, state sovereignty, and regional peace.”

“The brazen audacity of the Israeli cabinet in unveiling plans to impose full military control over Gaza, alongside provocative settlement expansions in the West Bank, reflects Israel’s annexationist and rogue mindset,” Mr. Dar stated.

He stressed that Pakistan fully supports the joint statement by 31 Arab and Islamic countries, as well as the secretaries-general of the OIC, Arab League, and GCC, rejecting Netanyahu’s comments and Israel’s plans to militarily seize Gaza as “an unacceptable escalation and a blatant attempt to entrench illegal occupation by coercion.”

Pakistan’s Firm Stand with Palestine

Quoting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Mr. Dar highlighted the root cause of the conflict:

“The ongoing tragedy stems from Israel’s prolonged, illegal occupation of Palestinian territory. As long as this occupation endures, peace will remain elusive.”

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause, stressing that the people of Palestine deserve justice, dignity, and an independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

Call for Global Responsibility

Concluding his address, Mr. Dar urged the United Nations, the OIC, and the broader international community to rise above political expediency and act immediately to stop Israel’s atrocities, ensure humanitarian relief, and revive a credible peace process.

“Silence and inaction in the face of genocide and forced displacement will amount to complicity. The world must not fail Palestine again,” he asserted.
