Warm Welcome and Official Engagements

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif arrived in Quetta for a one-day official visit, where she was warmly received at the airport by Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail and provincial ministers. After her arrival, she headed to the Governor’s House for a formal meeting with the governor.

Her visit reflects a strong message of inter-provincial cooperation and national unity, showing the importance of close coordination between Punjab and Balochistan at both political and administrative levels.

Solidarity with Victims and Security Consultations

During her visit, Maryam Nawaz is scheduled to meet the families of those martyred and injured in recent terrorist attacks to express sympathy, support, and solidarity. This gesture highlights the provincial government’s commitment to standing with affected families in difficult times.

She will also meet Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and hold consultations with provincial cabinet members to discuss the current political and security situation in the province. These meetings aim to strengthen cooperation on peace, stability, and development across provinces.

Political Message from Lahore

Earlier, speaking at a Basant festival event in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said there was no strike anywhere in Punjab, claiming the public had rejected negative behavior and abusive politics. She stated that although a strike was called, there were zero shutdowns, no traffic disruption, and no public response.

She added that people defeated the call for unrest and chaos, saying such actions only harm the poor and create instability. According to her, the public’s response showed a clear rejection of disruptive politics and a desire for peace, stability, and positive progress in the country. Together, her statements and Quetta visit send a strong message of unity, solidarity, and commitment to national harmony and stability.
