The second day highlighted the launch of the Uraan AI Techathon 1.0 and the AI for Her pavilion, which specifically promotes women-led tech startups and training. Dr. Fayyaz, Deputy Chief Manager of SUPARCO, noted the significant presence of international participants, stating that the platform allows the younger generation to see how AI will revolutionize sectors from agriculture to space research. With the $1 billion national investment announced by PM Shehbaz Sharif yesterday, the atmosphere at the Sports Complex is one of high-energy competition and strategic networking.
The week-long celebration of intelligence is not limited to the capital; over 100 universities across Pakistan are holding parallel hackathons and workshops through February 15, signaling the country’s decisive move toward becoming a regional AI leader.
