President Asif Ali Zardari has embarked on a high-profile, four-day official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, signaling a major diplomatic push by Pakistan to reinforce its strategic and economic ties within Central Asia.
Accompanied by a senior delegation of cabinet ministers and top government officials, the President’s visit is slated to run from July 6 to July 9. The trip marks a significant historic milestone in bilateral diplomacy, representing the first official visit by a Pakistani head of state to Kyrgyzstan in twenty-one years.
The diplomatic engagement follows a successful state visit by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Islamabad in December last year, highlighting a sustained upward momentum in high-level exchanges between the two nations.

Expanding the Spectrum of Bilateral Cooperation
During his stay in the Kyrgyz capital, President Zardari will engage in a one-on-one meeting with President Zhaparov, followed by extensive delegation-level talks. The two leaders are scheduled to review the entire spectrum of Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan relations, alongside exchanging perspectives on pressing regional and international developments of mutual interest.
Faced with a mutual desire to maximize regional connectivity, the bilateral discussions will target comprehensive cooperation across several vital sectors:
