In a move signaling a significant shift in the royal hierarchy, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will reportedly be absent from the royal family’s Easter church service this Sunday, April 5, 2026. According to a report from journalist Rob Shuter, the decision was not optional for the sisters but was “decided for them” by Prince William. As the 43-year-old Prince of Wales increasingly takes the lead on strategic decisions, insiders claim he is focused on “protecting the brand” and “thinking about the future, not feelings” following the total fall from grace of the sisters’ father.

The exclusion comes in the wake of the arrest of the former Prince Andrew last month on his 66th birthday. Andrew, who was stripped of his royal titles and honors by King Charles III late last year, is currently under investigation for allegedly sharing confidential information related to his former role as a trade envoy with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. While the 77-year-old King has offered “full and wholehearted support” to authorities, sources suggest it is William who is now making the high-stakes calls regarding who remains within the “inner circle” of the working monarchy.
