This honor is typically reserved for individuals who have rendered outstanding services to the Kingdom. During their meeting, both leaders reviewed historical ties and discussed establishing foundations for international peace and security, particularly through the framework of the Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement signed earlier this year, which treats an attack on one nation as an aggression against both.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) noted that the medal reflects Field Marshal Munir’s central role in advancing institutional linkages and counter-terrorism collaboration. This visit follows his recent promotion and a series of high-level engagements aimed at elevating the Pak-Saudi partnership to unprecedented levels. Beyond defense, the meeting touched upon regional security dynamics and evolving geopolitical challenges, reaffirming a commitment to shared stability. The recognition serves as a testament to the deepening “brotherly relations” and the growing military synergy between Islamabad and Riyadh.
