In a significant diplomatic breakthrough, Italy also agreed to grant visa exemptions for holders of Pakistani diplomatic passports. During the talks, Minister Naqvi briefed his counterpart on Pakistan’s intensified monitoring at airports and maritime borders, which has successfully reduced the flow of illegal immigration. Piantedosi praised these efforts, alongside Pakistan’s crackdowns on human smuggling and narcotics trafficking, reaffirming Italy’s commitment to expanding cooperation in security and law enforcement.
