Pakistan marked a significant step forward in its global fintech outreach with the official inauguration of the Pakistan Pavilion at the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) 2025 on Wednesday.
The event was inaugurated by Deputy High Commissioner and Charge d’Affaires Salman Mehmood, who emphasized the festival’s importance as one of the premier global platforms for technology-driven financial innovation.

Addressing the gathering, Mehmood encouraged Pakistani fintech firms to leverage the event to forge strategic international partnerships, attract global investment, and highlight the country’s growing strength in digital transformation.
He noted that Pakistan’s participation reflects its ambition to integrate with the international fintech ecosystem and promote cross-border collaboration in areas like digital payments, blockchain solutions, and financial inclusion.
This year, six leading Pakistani fintech companies are representing the nation, marking a strong presence amid participants from more than 40 countries. Their inclusion demonstrates Pakistan’s steady rise as a regional fintech hub, supported by a young, tech-savvy population and an increasingly innovation-driven economy.

The Singapore FinTech Festival 2025, running from November 12 to 14, hosts over 600 exhibitors and 41 national pavilions, bringing together global leaders, investors, and innovators to discuss the future of finance. Topics include AI in banking, regulatory technology, digital currencies, and climate finance, key areas where Pakistan seeks to expand its footprint.
Through its participation, Pakistan aims not only to showcase its technological potential but also to position itself as a competitive and collaborative player in the global fintech landscape, fostering deeper engagement between South and Southeast Asia’s digital economies.
