Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir has expressed strong satisfaction with the “robust defence collaboration” between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia following his meeting with Royal Saudi Land Forces (RSLF) Commander Lieutenant General Fahad Bin Saud Al-Johani at the General Headquarters.
The meeting underscored the depth of the multifaceted relationship, which is built upon strategic military cooperation, mutual economic interests, and a shared Islamic heritage, and follows the significant Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement signed in September, which treats an attack on either nation as an act of aggression against both.

COAS Munir emphasized the critical need for continued cooperation in training, capacity building, and intelligence sharing, further solidifying the strong strategic ties. Lieutenant General Al-Johani, in turn, acknowledged the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and commended the nation’s positive and integral role in maintaining regional peace and stability.
The two commanders discussed avenues for enhanced bilateral defence cooperation, reiterating their mutual commitment to strengthening the military-to-military relationship.

In a separate engagement, the COAS also met with Bahrain National Guard Commander General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, with both sides reaffirming their resolve to enhance military ties and Pakistan pledging continued support for Bahrain in all domains.
