Pakistan and Thailand have reaffirmed their commitment to significantly enhance cooperation across a wide array of sectors, including trade, investment, education, development, and people-to-people exchanges. This resolution was solidified during the 3rd Round of Pakistan-Thailand Bilateral Political Consultations held in Islamabad on Tuesday 18th November, 2025.
The consultations, led by Additional Foreign Secretary Imran Ahmed Siddique for Pakistan and Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Sirilak Niyom for Thailand, resulted in a mutual agreement to strengthen ties and upgrade their existing partnership. Both nations resolved to maintain the momentum of high-level exchanges and plan to hold the next round of discussions in Bangkok soon.

Separately, Pakistan also hosted the 6th round of Bilateral Political Consultations with Finland on the same day. Discussions with the Finnish delegation focused on boosting cooperation in trade, investment, science and technology, and climate change. The Pakistani side expressed appreciation for Finland’s crucial support regarding Pakistan’s GSP Plus status and extended an invitation for Finnish companies to participate in the upcoming Pakistan-EU Business Forum in April 2026. These meetings collectively underscore Pakistan’s current diplomatic drive to strengthen economic and political partnerships with key Asian and European nations.
