Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has released a comprehensive battle damage assessment as the high-intensity conflict between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban enters its second week. Under the strategic banner of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq (Wrath for Truth), Pakistan has inflicted catastrophic losses on the adversary’s frontier forces in response to the unprovoked surprise attacks of February 26.
Consolidated Battle Damage Assessment
The Information Minister, via the social media platform X, detailed a significant collapse in the Afghan Taliban’s defensive and offensive capabilities:
-
Enemy Personnel: Fatalities have surged to 583 killed, with more than 795 injured.
-
Frontier Infrastructure: A total of 242 check posts have been completely destroyed. In a masterclass of ground maneuvering, Pakistani troops have captured and destroyed 38 strategic posts, permanently securing vital high-ground.
-
Hardware Attrition: The enemy’s mechanized capacity has been decimated, with 213 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery guns neutralized by Pakistani anti-tank guided missiles and precision fire.
-
Surgical Air Strikes: The Pakistan Air Force has effectively targeted and struck 64 identified militant hubs and logistical depots deep within Afghan territory.

The Engagement: A group consisting of three to four militant formations belonging to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) attempted to breach the border fence under the cover of darkness.
-
The Outcome: Alert troops detected the movement in time, engaging the militants as they attempted to cut the fence. In the ensuing exchange of fire, one foreign terrorist was killed, forcing the remaining formations to flee back across the border.

The “Ghazab-lil-Haq” Doctrine: No Talks Without Results
Despite calls for dialogue from Kabul and international bodies—including the United Nations and the European Union—Islamabad has reaffirmed its “Zero Tolerance” policy.
-
The Core Grievance: Pakistan maintains that the Afghan Taliban regime continues to act as a “proxy master” by sheltering the TTP and facilitating attacks against Pakistani sovereignty.
-
The Mandate: Security officials reiterated that Operation Ghazab-lil-Haqq will continue indefinitely until all strategic objectives are met and the “Fitna” (sedition) is uprooted at its source.
The Government of Pakistan remains steadfast: cross-border terrorism will no longer be met with diplomatic patience, but with the full kinetic might of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
