Precision and Accuracy: PAF Conducts Intelligence-Based Strikes on TTP and ISIL-K Strongholds

In a major counter-terrorism operation, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has successfully conducted a series of selective, intelligence-based strikes against seven critical terrorist camps and hideouts in the border regions. The mission specifically targeted the infrastructure of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and its affiliates, as well as ISIL-K (Islamic State – Khorasan Province).

The operation comes as a direct retributive response to the recent wave of cowardly terror attacks inside Pakistan, including the 6 February bombing in Islamabad and the subsequent targeting of security personnel in the Bajaur and Bannu districts.

Tactical Precision and Strategic Success

Military sources emphasized that the hallmark of these operations was their “uncompromising precision,” designed to eliminate high-value terrorist nodes while minimizing collateral risks.

  • Neutralization of Hideouts: Preliminary battle damage assessments confirm the complete destruction of seven primary militant camps located across the Nangarhar, Paktika, and Khost provinces.

  • Significant Fatalities: Citing military intelligence, reports indicate that over 80 militants—including key operational commanders involved in cross-border infiltration—were killed in the surgical strikes.

  • Disruption of External Plots: By targeting these specific coordination centers, the Pakistan Armed Forces have effectively disrupted several imminent plots aimed at urban centers during the holy month of Ramadan.

A Zero-Tolerance Policy on Safe Havens

The strikes represent a significant escalation in Pakistan’s resolve to dismantle safe havens used by Fitna al-Khawarij (TTP) on foreign soil.

  • The “Safe Haven” Dilemma: Islamabad has repeatedly urged the Afghan authorities to honor their international commitments under the Doha Agreement and prevent their territory from being used as a launchpad for regional instability.

  • Sovereign Defense: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reiterated that Pakistan reserves the right to defend its citizens and territorial integrity under international law when faced with consistent cross-border aggression.
