Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir held a pivotal meeting in Abu Dhabi with the UAE’s National Security Adviser and Deputy Ruler, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the high-level talks, the Field Marshal declared that the “security and stability of the UAE are an integral part of Pakistan’s own security,” reinforcing the deep-rooted strategic partnership between the two nations.

The discussions focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in economic collaboration, large-scale investment, and defense engagement. Field Marshal Munir expressed his “sincere appreciation” for the UAE’s decades of consistent support, particularly through direct investments that have served as a lifeline for Pakistan’s economy. This visit follows a recent surge in high-level diplomacy, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s outreach to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan last week.
