Lionsgate has released the first trailer for Michael, director Antoine Fuqua’s highly anticipated biopic about music legend Michael Jackson. The teaser, which will screen in theaters ahead of Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, stars Jackson’s real-life nephew, Jaafar Jackson, in the lead role.

The trailer opens with Jackson recording alongside producer Quincy Jones (Kendrick Sampson) as iconic moments from his childhood, stage performances, and the “Thriller” era flash across the screen to the beat of Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’.

The film also features Miles Teller as attorney John Branca, Colman Domingo as Joe Jackson, Nia Long as Katherine Jackson, and Kat Graham as Diana Ross.
Originally slated for October 2025, Michael will now hit theaters on April 24, 2026. The film promises an intimate look at the superstar’s rise, controversies, and enduring influence as the “King of Pop.”
