Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), today visited flood-affected regions in Punjab to oversee ongoing rescue and relief operations and interact with troops deployed in the field. The visit underscores the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to supporting the nation during times of natural calamity.

While interacting with soldiers, COAS Asim Munir commended their exceptional morale, operational readiness, and profound dedication to serving the people of Pakistan. He expressed his deep appreciation for their tireless services during rescue and relief operations, noting that their efforts have been instrumental in saving lives and providing critical assistance under extremely challenging circumstances.
The visit is part of a series of engagements by the Army Chief to personally review and reinforce the military’s robust response to the recent floods. The Pakistan Army, working in close coordination with civilian authorities, has launched a comprehensive and multi-faceted relief operation across all affected areas. This includes the deployment of boats and specialized teams to evacuate marooned individuals, the establishment of mobile medical camps to provide immediate healthcare, and the distribution of food, clean water, and essential supplies to displaced families.
