Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), issued a stern warning to the Afghan Taliban, demanding they choose between supporting Pakistan or sheltering terrorist organizations like the TTP and BLA. The briefing followed a massive cross-border escalation on Thursday night, where Afghan Taliban forces, alongside “Fitna al Khawarij” (TTP), launched coordinated attacks on 53 Pakistani border locations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Afghan Taliban must choose between TTP, BLA, Daesh, Al-Qaeda, or Pakistan.

Pakistan’s military responded with a large-scale counter-offensive titled Operation Ghazab lil-Haq. According to the DG ISPR, the military gave a “befitting reply,” killing 274 Taliban personnel and militants, while injuring over 400. Pakistani forces successfully destroyed 73 Afghan border posts and captured 18 others. High-precision airstrikes also targeted 22 military installations inside Afghanistan, including corps and brigade headquarters in Kabul, Kandahar, and Khost. The military confirmed that 12 Pakistani soldiers were martyred in the clashes.
The DG ISPR highlighted that the lines between the Afghan Taliban regime and terrorist groups have “blurred,” labeling the regime a “master proxy” for regional instability. He dismissed reports of civilian casualties as propaganda, asserting that only military targets were hit. He warned that any future terrorist activity originating from Afghan soil would meet an equally “brutal” response, emphasizing that “no place will be safe” for those who threaten Pakistan’s sovereignty.
