Iran Apologizes to Neighbors as Trump Demands Surrender

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a historic apology to neighboring Gulf states for recent missile and drone attacks, attributing the strikes to “miscommunication” within a fractured military command. Speaking on state television, Pezeshkian admitted that the upheaval following the assassination of the Supreme Leader had caused confusion in the ranks. He announced a new directive ordering the military to cease all attacks on neighboring countries unless provoked, seeking to “establish peace and calm” amidst the chaos of the week-long war.

However, the tone remained defiant toward Washington. President Donald Trump, posting on Truth Social, has demanded nothing less than “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER,” promising to make Iran “economically bigger and stronger” only after total capitulation. Pezeshkian dismissed this as a “dream they should take to their grave,” warning neighbors not to become “puppets of imperialism” by siding with the U.S. or Israel. Despite the apology, the battlefield remains volatile; Israel recently launched 80 fighter jets to strike Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport, and the U.S. has now hit over 3,000 targets under Operation Epic Fury.

The regional stakes are staggering, with Saudi Arabia reporting the interception of drones over the Shaybah oil field and explosions rocking areas near Dubai International Airport. While Pezeshkian’s apology offers a slight diplomatic opening, the “total surrender” demand from the White House suggests that the military campaign against the Iranian regime’s infrastructure will continue unabated.
