ISPR Chief Declares Imran Khan’s Anti-Army Rhetoric a National Security Threat

Dec 6, 2025 | Latest News

Director General ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry fiercely condemned the incarcerated PTI founder, Imran Khan, for disseminating an “anti-army” narrative, calling it a creeping national security threat. Without naming him, he referred to the former Prime Minister as a delusional person captive to his own ego, prioritising his personal wishes over the State of Pakistan.

Gen Chaudhry further emphasised that the armed forces are non-political, apolitical, and nationally diverse in character, asserting they strive only for Pakistan’s integrity. He warned that attacks on the military’s leadership, driven by a narcissistic mindset, would be met forcefully. The DG ISPR criticised Khan for attempting to damage the state by urging actions such as halting remittances and writing to the IMF.

Crucially, he alleged the narrative was in deep collusion with external actors, stating such an agenda could only originate from Delhi. He cited the widespread use of anti-army tweets by accounts linked to Indian media, RAW, and Afghan social media (khawarij facilitators), all sharing the goal of creating a rift between the army and the public. He declared that this “business of lies and deception” cannot continue.

The General also mentioned the inauguration of the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Headquarters, calling it a monumental step for national security. He concluded by affirming the military’s unwavering commitment to the state, making it clear that no individual’s politics is above Pakistan’s security.
