Security Forces eliminated a total of 14 terrorists in a series of operations across Balochistan. A terrorist attack, targeting a convoy associated with Reko Diq project, was thwarted in Chagai District; wherein, 12 terrorists were eliminated. In another operation in the Washuk District 2 terrorists of Fitna al Hindustan were neutralized. This was an intelligence-based operation.
Reko Diq Convoy Attack
Terrorists attacked a convoy of three vehicles travelling towards Quetta in the Nokacha area. The firefight between the terrorists and security forces was two-hours long wherein 12 terrorists were neutralized. Heavy ammunition and weapons were recovered from the terrorists. Two security personnel were also injured.
Washuk IBO
In the Washuk IBO Security Forces acting on intelligence reports attacked the Palantak area. Two terrorists were thereby eliminated. These terrorists reportedly were involved in the Mashkhel Police Station and Custom House attack. A vehicle and large cache of arms were destroyed in this operation.
CM Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, said that targeted operations will continue across the province and no negotiations will be held with terrorists. The high tempo operations across Mastung, Mach, Khuzdar, and Panjgur aim to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorist networks.
