On February 24, 2026, a tragic escalation of violence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa left three Federal Constabulary (FC) personnel martyred. The incident began with a modern quadcopter drone attack on an FC fort in Darga Shaheedan, which injured four soldiers. As Rescue 1122 ambulances attempted to transport the wounded to a hospital, terrorists launched a targeted ambush near the Ghol Banda dam in Karak district. The attack resulted in the complete destruction of both ambulances by fire, while three rescue workers sustained injuries, two of whom are reportedly in critical condition.

In a simultaneous development, the residence and guesthouse of Marwat-Bettani Tehreek (MBT) chief Inamullah Khan in Lakki Marwat were targeted by quadcopter strikes. While bombs were dropped on the premises, no casualties were reported. These aerial attacks highlight an increasing use of drone technology by militant groups in the region. Security forces responded with a fierce gun battle in Karak and initiated further operations to secure the area.
Meanwhile, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that four terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan. The slain militants, identified as members of “Fitna al Khwarij,” were reportedly involved in numerous attacks against security forces and civilians. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the scene as the military intensified its crackdown on the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
