Margot Robbie’s ‘Unhinged’ Party Celebrating Wuthering Heights

Jan 31, 2026 | Latest News, Entertainment

Australian superstar Margot Robbie revealed a wild, “bachelorette-style” celebration held in Los Angeles to honor her character, Catherine Earnshaw, ahead of the release of Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Robbie described the event as “the most unhinged experience” of her life. Her friends organized a private screening of the film at the Bird Streets Club, complete with a mood board and a mandatory dress code she summarized as “Victorian Sl**ty.”

Robbie wore a white lace corset dress for the occasion, while her friends donned black lace, corsets, and veils, an aesthetic she compared to “mob wives.” The screening quickly turned chaotic, with 20 women “frothing at the mouth like rabid dogs” and reacting loudly to the screen. Robbie joked that her co-star Jacob Elordi, who plays Heathcliff, was lucky to be absent, as the crowd’s reaction to his appearance was so intense it “registered on the Richter scale.” The night also featured a high-stakes drinking game where guests had to drink every time the name “Cathy” was mentioned, a word Elordi reportedly says “a thousand times” in the film.

Set for a February 13, 2026 release, the film is expected to be the season’s most provocative theatrical event. This marks the third collaboration between Fennell and Robbie’s LuckyChap production company, following the success of Promising Young Woman and Saltburn. With tickets already on sale, the “Victorian Sl**ty” theme is already trending on social media, suggesting Robbie’s “unhinged” night might set the tone for the film’s global premiere.
