The meeting took place against a backdrop of significant national developments. Earlier today, both leaders congratulated the nation on the successful launch of EO-2, Pakistan’s second indigenous electro-optical satellite, developed in collaboration with China. On the security front, the review comes days after a devastating suicide attack on an Islamabad mosque on February 6, which left 36 dead, and a massive military operation in Balochistan that reportedly eliminated over 200 militants earlier this month.

The duo emphasized that maintaining macroeconomic stability is essential for translating fiscal gains into domestic productivity and job creation for the year ahead.
