Accompanied by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Naqvi instructed officials to complete the new block within three months. He also asked for a revised plan to make the building taller (vertical expansion) and equip it with modern IT systems and digital tools so the agency can better fight rising cybercrime.
The minister said the new block will have 104 residential units for lawmakers, along with better facilities including a mosque, fitness centre, swimming pool, and a coffee shop. He also directed officials to install surveillance cameras and build proper boundary walls for security.
Naqvi further asked for a practical renovation plan for the existing Parliament Lodges to improve living standards for parliamentarians.
The visit shows the government’s focus on strengthening cyber security infrastructure while also upgrading facilities for lawmakers.
