Opal Ai Mini-App Builder Expands To 15 New Countries

Oct 9, 2025 | Latest News

Google Labs today announced a significant global expansion and a suite of powerful new features for Opal, its groundbreaking, no-code platform for building AI-powered mini-apps using natural language. Following an initial surge of sophisticated app creation in the U.S. experiment, Opal is now rolling out to 15 new countries while debuting workflow improvements requested by its growing builder community.

Global Rollout to Meet Creator Demand

Just two months after its debut, Opal’s adoption has made clear the global demand for no-code AI creation tools. To meet this ingenuity, Opal is beginning its phased rollout in: Canada, India, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brazil, Singapore, Colombia, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panamá, Honduras, Argentina, and Pakistan.

“The ingenuity of our early adopters made one thing clear: we need to get Opal into the hands of more creators globally,” said Megan Li, Senior Product Manager, Google Labs. “Users aren’t just building simple, fun tools—they’re automating complex business processes and accelerating marketing efforts. This global expansion, paired with critical transparency features, empowers that next wave of complex, practical creation.”

Introducing Advanced Workflow Tools

Responding directly to user feedback for greater transparency and reliability, Google Labs is releasing two fundamental improvements to the Opal core experience:

Advanced Debugging for Workflows (No-Code)

Opal has fundamentally improved its debugging program while intentionally retaining its no-code philosophy. Creators can now run their workflow step-by-step in the visual editor or iterate on a specific component in the console panel. Crucially, errors are now displayed in real time and localized to the exact step where the failure occurred. This provides immediate context, eliminates guesswork, and helps builders spend less time troubleshooting and more time innovating.

Faster, More Responsive Foundation

Significant under-the-hood improvements have been made to Opal’s core performance to ensure a smoother, faster building experience. The time taken to create a new Opal has been dramatically reduced. Furthermore, the platform now supports parallel runs, enabling complex workflows with multiple, independent steps to execute simultaneously. This upgrade drastically reduces overall wait times and accelerates the execution of large, multi-step AI mini-apps.

Whether automating a complex business process, accelerating marketing efforts, or bringing a creative vision to life, Opal is here to help you build. Creators in the new regions can begin trying Opal today.
