High-Level Meeting in New York
Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, hosted a visit from the Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, during one of the high-level meetings of the United Nations Security Council in New York. The meeting was conducted in terms of discussions devoted to the situation in Palestine. whereby the two heads discussed the existing bilateral relations and were pleased with the fact that the bilateral cooperation in different spheres was steadily growing.

Enhancing Bilateral Cooperation
The two ministers placed emphasis on the increasing cooperation in terms of trade and education among other joint ventures. They reiterated the fact that Pakistan and Egypt are to ensure tight coordination and emphasized that they should carry on appropriate regular communication to enhance their strategic relationship. The authorities stated that further interactions would be useful in opening new prospects and strengthening the bonds between the two nations.
Mutual Concerns on Gaza and the West Bank
The current events in Gaza, the West Bank, and the rest of the Middle East were also discussed. Both parties stressed the need to comply with international law and called for emergency uninterrupted humanitarian aid in order to help the affected people. They emphasized the need to have an international response in stabilizing, maintaining peace, and providing relief to the civilians who were affected by the current crisis.
