The Pakistan Navy has successfully test-fired an indigenously developed ship-launched anti-ship ballistic missile, demonstrating high precision and extended-range strike capability.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the live weapon firing was conducted on Thursday, with the missile accurately engaging its target at high speed over a long distance.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with leading scientists and engineers, witnessed the test. The ISPR described the missile as integrating advanced guidance systems and superior maneuverability, allowing it to evade threats, adapt to changing conditions, and strike with lethal precision.
This successful launch highlights the fusion of technological excellence and operational expertise within the Pakistan Navy. The ISPR stated that the test reaffirms the Navy’s commitment to maintaining credible sea-based deterrence and ensuring maritime security and stability in the region.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and the services chiefs congratulated the participating units and scientists on this significant milestone.
The weapon system is capable of engaging targets both at sea and on land with high accuracy. The previous test of the missile was conducted in November last year.
This achievement marks another step forward in Pakistan’s efforts to strengthen its indigenous defence capabilities and enhance naval deterrence.
