A Palestinian couple and two of their young children were shot and killed by Israeli forces in the town of Tammun, located in the northern West Bank. The victims have been identified as Ali and Waad Bani Odeh, along with their five-year-old son, Mohammed, and seven-year-old son, Othman. According to the Palestinian health ministry, all four arrived at the hospital with critical gunshot wounds to the head and face.

The incident occurred while the family was traveling in their car during a joint operation by the Israeli army and paramilitary border police. Israeli authorities claim the vehicle accelerated toward their forces, prompting soldiers to fire after feeling endangered. The military stated that the circumstances are currently under investigation. However, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that Israeli forces initially blocked emergency crews from reaching the victims and ordered medical personnel to vacate the area.

Two other children in the vehicle, aged eight and 11, survived the shooting with minor shrapnel injuries but witnessed the deaths of their parents and siblings. This tragedy unfolds amid heightened movement restrictions and rising violence across the West Bank following the outbreak of war between the U.S., Israel, and Iran on February 28. According to UN data, at least 1,064 Palestinians, including 231 children, have been killed in the West Bank since October 2023.
