Saudi Arabia Injects $2 Billion to Bolster Pakistan’s Foreign Exchange Reserves

The State Bank of Pakistan has received $2 billion from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Finance.

The central bank confirmed the inflow in a post on its official X account today, describing it as a timely deposit that will help strengthen Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves.

This latest financial support from Saudi Arabia comes at a critical time as Pakistan continues to navigate economic challenges and external pressures stemming from the ongoing regional conflict.

The deposit is expected to provide breathing room to the country’s external accounts and support macroeconomic stability in the coming months.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy deep fraternal ties, and Riyadh has consistently extended financial assistance to Islamabad during periods of economic difficulty.
