Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is set to call for rapid arrangements to ensure that Gaza’s security and administration are placed under Palestinian control, a Turkish foreign ministry source said on Sunday.
The appeal will be made during a high-level meeting in Istanbul on Monday, attended by foreign ministers from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Pakistan, and Indonesia, to discuss the ceasefire and worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza.

Fidan is expected to stress coordinated action among Muslim nations to transform the current U.S.-brokered ceasefire into a lasting peace, amid periodic flare-ups of violence. He will also accuse Israel of “making excuses” to undermine the truce and highlight the insufficient flow of humanitarian aid into the enclave.
Tensions between Turkey and Israel have deepened throughout the Gaza conflict, with President Tayyip Erdogan sharply condemning Israeli military actions. Turkey has also offered to join an international task force to monitor the ceasefire’s implementation.
