This move is part of WhatsApp’s broader effort to strengthen user safety and privacy, preventing spam or unwanted messages without requiring users to block unknown senders outright. Once officially released, the “Requests” folder is expected to make inbox management smoother while ensuring users have more personalized control over their communication experience.
