Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti used a press conference in Islamabad to forcefully reaffirm that militants would not be allowed to impose their agenda on the country, emphasizing that the people of Balochistan stand firmly with Pakistan’s security forces, even as he revealed sobering security statistics.

The Chief Minister stated that Balochistan experienced approximately 900 terrorist incidents over the past year, resulting in the tragic deaths of 205 security personnel, six officers, and 280 civilians, though he praised security forces for neutralizing 760 militants during various operations.
Bugti highlighted a positive sign of de-escalation, noting that nearly 100 militants recently laid down their arms in Dera Bugti, underscoring that the state’s door remains open for those who choose peace, while simultaneously warning that the state’s patience should not be mistaken for weakness.

Furthermore, he severely criticized the Afghan caretaker government for what he termed violations of the Doha Agreement, stressing that Pakistani territory cannot be targeted from across the border, and advised political parties to cease promoting narratives that undermine state institutions, urging all leaders to prioritize good governance and development over political confrontations.
