The government has officially launched a $9.07 million reform project in Balochistan aimed at expanding access to early childhood education for thousands of children in rural and marginalized communities. Titled “System Transformation in Balochistan for Early Education,” the initiative is being implemented by the provincial Education Department and is slated for completion by June 30, 2029. This strategic investment focuses on upgrading school infrastructure in underserved districts, introducing a standardized curriculum, and enhancing institutional capacity to provide a stronger foundation for lifelong learning in the region.

A key component of the project involves comprehensive teacher training programs designed to equip educators with modern pedagogical skills specifically tailored for pre-primary learners. Although staffing for the project is already complete, the next phase will involve the procurement of educational materials and the awarding of infrastructure contracts to modernize physical learning environments. Rigorous monitoring mechanisms will also be established to ensure the efficient delivery of services and to maintain educational standards across the province.
