China Reaffirms ‘Ironclad’ Commitment to Pakistan; Both Nations Pledge to Deepen Strategic Cooperation









Islamabad — In a significant reaffirmation of their enduring ties, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, currently on an official visit to Pakistan, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House. The meeting underscored the depth of the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, with both sides vowing to expand cooperation in economic, security, and regional domains.

Strengthening the “Ironclad” Friendship

Foreign Minister Wang Yi reiterated that Pakistan and China share an unbreakable bond built on mutual trust, respect, and shared sacrifices. He described Pakistan as an “all-weather strategic partner” and affirmed Beijing’s readiness to work closely with Islamabad in safeguarding national sovereignty, promoting sustainable development, and ensuring peace and stability in the region.

Wang emphasized that the friendship between the two countries has withstood regional and global challenges, calling it an “ironclad partnership rooted in shared history and common aspirations for the future.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed deep gratitude to President Xi Jinping and the Chinese leadership for their consistent and unwavering support to Pakistan.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to:

  • Expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, energy, agriculture, ICT, and mining.
