President, PM Vow to Eradicate Terrorism | 15 Indian-Sponsored Terrorists Neutralised in Balochistan

Pakistan’s security forces have delivered a crushing blow to foreign-sponsored terrorism, neutralizing 15 high-value targets in two precision Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) across Balochistan. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Saturday that the deceased belonged to the state-designated terror groups Fitna al-Khawarij (TTP) and Fitna al-Hindustan (Indian-backed Baloch separatist factions).

The Operations: Harnai and Basima

The military’s media wing detailed a high-intensity engagement that dismantled several “Indian proxy” hideouts:

• Harnai District (12 Neutralized): Acting on “pinpoint” intelligence regarding the presence of Fitna al-Khawarij members, troops engaged a fortified hideout. After an intense firefight, 12 Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed.

• Basima District (3 Neutralized): In a separate maneuver, security forces tracked a cell of Fitna al-Hindustan. Utilizing “mixed-calibre weapons,” the forces successfully eliminated three terrorists involved in recent attacks on infrastructure.

• Recoveries: A significant cache of weapons, advanced explosives, and ammunition was recovered. Sanitization operations are currently underway to ensure no remnants of these foreign-backed cells remain in the rugged terrain.

Leadership Commends “Professional Excellence”

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued strong statements of support for the armed forces, framing the success as a triumph over external subversion.

• President Zardari: Highlighted that the elimination of terrorists operating under “Indian patronage” demonstrates the superior professional capability of Pakistan’s intelligence and security apparatus. He reaffirmed that ending foreign-backed terrorism is the state’s “top priority.”

• PM Shehbaz Sharif: Noted the “significant successes” being achieved daily and reiterated his government’s firm commitment to the complete eradication of the terror menace under the Azm-i-Istehkam vision.

Strategic Context: Operation Azm-i-Istehkam

The ISPR emphasized that these operations are part of a relentless, full-pace counter-terrorism campaign. The term Fitna al-Hindustan has been increasingly utilized by the state to denote the nexus between regional intelligence agencies and militant groups in Balochistan aimed at destabilizing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and provincial peace.

This latest success follows a month of heightened activity where over 40 terrorists have been neutralized across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, signaling an intensified phase of internal security operations as the country manages multiple external border threats.
