Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to undertake an official visit to Pakistan from December 8-9 at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, marking his first trip to the country and the first presidential visit from Indonesia since 2018.
This upcoming visit holds added significance as it coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations, which share long-standing, close, and cordial relations rooted in common values and mutual interests.

President Subianto will arrive in Islamabad accompanied by a high-level delegation, and his itinerary includes crucial delegation-level talks with PM Shehbaz and meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and the Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
The leaders will focus on a “wide-ranging agenda” aimed at further strengthening bilateral ties and exploring new avenues of cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade, investment, defense, health, IT, climate, education, and culture.
