Iranian Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its pivotal role in mediating the recent ceasefire in Lebanon.
In a statement shared on social media, Ghalibaf thanked Pakistan’s leadership — particularly Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir — for their diplomatic efforts that helped facilitate the truce between Israel and Hezbollah.

He described the ceasefire as a result of Hezbollah’s resilience and unity, while cautioning that the situation remains delicate. “We will approach this ceasefire with caution and remain united until full success is achieved,” he said, adding that progress would be handled prudently to secure a lasting outcome.
The acknowledgment underscores Pakistan’s growing diplomatic footprint in the Middle East, where Islamabad has actively worked to de-escalate tensions through dialogue and mediation.
Ghalibaf reiterated Iran’s firm commitment to its principles while continuing to support regional efforts aimed at maintaining peace and stability.
This development comes as multiple stakeholders continue working to sustain ceasefire arrangements and prevent further escalation in the region.
