Security Forces Neutralize 10 Terrorists in Lower Dir; Seven Soldiers Embrace Martyrdom

Sep 14, 2025 | Latest News, Terrorism

The Security Forces of Pakistan conducted a critical and meticulously planned intelligence-based operation on 11 September 2025 in the general area of Lal Qilla Maidan, Lower Dir District. The operation was launched following credible intelligence reports of the presence of a group of terrorists belonging to the Indian-sponsored group, Fitna al Khwarij, who were actively involved in terrorist activities and had taken innocent civilians hostage.

During the conduct of the operation, our troops surrounded the terrorists’ location and effectively engaged them in an intense and prolonged fire exchange. The engagement was fierce, and after a valiant fight, ten Indian-sponsored terrorists were sent to hell. However, in the process of ensuring the safety of the civilians and neutralizing the threat, seven brave sons of the soil paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat. They fought gallantly, demonstrating exceptional courage and selflessness to save the precious lives of the innocent civilians.

The martyred soldiers, who laid down their lives in the line of duty, have been identified as:

  • Naik Abdul Jalil (39 years, resident of North Waziristan)
  • Naik Gul Jan (38 years, resident of Lakki Marwat)
  • Lance Naik Azmat Ullah (28 years, resident of Lakki Marwat)
  • Sepoy Abdul Malik (28 years, resident of Khyber)
  • Sepoy Muhammad Amjad (27 years, resident of Malakand)
  • Sepoy Muhammad Dawood (23 years, resident of Swabi)
  • Sepoy Fazal Qayum (21 years, resident of Dera Ismail Khan)

Intelligence reports have unequivocally confirmed the physical involvement of Afghan Nationals in these heinous acts. The continued use of Afghan soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan remains a grave point of concern. Pakistan expects the Interim Afghan Government to uphold its responsibilities and deny its territory for terrorist activities against our nation.

A comprehensive sanitization operation is currently being conducted in the area to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists. The Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country, and the supreme sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our collective resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice and secure the nation.
