The discussions took place in Istanbul from 25 to 30 October 2025, with delegations from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Türkiye, and Qatar in attendance. The meeting focused on strengthening the Pakistan-Afghanistan ceasefire that was first agreed upon in Doha on 18–19 October 2025.
Both sides expressed their commitment to maintaining peace and avoiding further military escalation. The Turkish Ministry confirmed that “all parties have agreed on the continuation of the ceasefire.”
The renewed truce follows a brief border clash earlier this month that resulted in several casualties, raising tensions between Islamabad and Kabul.
The latest talks are being viewed as a positive step toward regional peace and stability, with Türkiye and Qatar continuing to play a key mediating role between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
