In a major step toward regional economic integration, Cotton House, a premier global textile sourcing and supply organization based in Pakistan, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Agency for the Development of Textile, Leather, and Silk Industries under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The agreement was signed by Nozimjon Kholmurodov, Director (Minister) of the Agency for the Development of Light Industry, and Fouzia Atif, Founder and CEO of Cotton House.

Integrating Uzbekistan into Global Markets
The primary objective of this partnership is to integrate Uzbek textile manufacturers into high-value global supply chains. Leveraging Cotton House’s extensive network of international buyers across Europe, North America, and the Middle East, the collaboration aims to position Uzbekistan as a key hub for fabric, yarn, and value-added textile products.
Under the terms of the MoU, Cotton House will collaborate with the Uzbek Ministry to:
- Identify and Vet Suppliers: Source qualified manufacturers of high-quality fabrics and yarns.
- Enhance Value-Added Production: Shift focus from raw materials to higher-margin categories, including garments and home textiles.
- Boost Global Exports: Utilize Cotton House’s market expertise to increase the footprint of Uzbek products in Western retail markets.
Capacity Building and Global Compliance
A significant portion of the initiative is dedicated to modernization and sustainability. The partnership will facilitate specialized training, knowledge-sharing, and capacity-building programs. These efforts are designed to help local Uzbek manufacturers meet stringent international standards for quality, environmental sustainability, and ethical compliance.

This MoU marks a pivotal moment in the deepening economic ties between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
