The agreement was formalised on Wednesday between the Punjab Department of Industries and Commerce and Sino-Pak Tech Industry (Pvt) Ltd during a ceremony held at PSIC House. The signing was carried out by Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain and the company’s CEO Pedric, in the presence of Chinese investors and officials from the Punjab Investment Board.
Under the project, the proposed industrial park will host factories across multiple sectors, including textiles, automotive, pharmaceuticals, and other manufacturing industries. The provincial government will allocate land for the project within one of Punjab’s designated SEZs, ensuring access to modern infrastructure and business-friendly facilities.

Addressing the ceremony, Minister Shafay Hussain said the agreement reflects growing investor confidence in Punjab’s economic potential. He noted that several Chinese companies have already begun establishing their industrial units in the province and emphasised that new investments — both foreign and domestic — are vital for job creation and sustainable economic growth.
The minister added that the government is offering attractive incentives and improving facilities in industrial estates, including the development of a community centre for foreign investors and the establishment of additional bank branches. He further stated that Punjab’s SEZs are equipped with international-standard infrastructure, encouraging investors to benefit from the province’s favourable business environment.
The project marks a significant step towards strengthening Pakistan–China economic cooperation and advancing Punjab as a regional hub for industrial development.
