Pakistan unequivocally condemns this cowardly act of terrorism. The reported use of armed drones in the attack highlights the increasing sophistication and gravity of the threat emanating from terrorist elements operating from Afghan soil, and underscores the brazenness of those responsible.
As a neighbouring country that has repeatedly suffered from terrorism orchestrated across its borders, Pakistan fully understands and shares the grief and anguish of its Chinese and Tajik partners. Such attacks not only target innocent lives but also undermine regional peace and stability.

Pakistan has consistently maintained that Afghan territory must not be used as a haven for terrorism against neighbouring states or any other country. The continued presence and activities of terrorist groups operating from Afghan soil, reportedly under the patronage of the Afghan Taliban regime, remain a matter of serious concern for the region and the wider international community.
Pakistan reiterates that only concrete, credible, and verifiable action against the perpetrators, facilitators, abettors, and financiers of these terrorist networks can effectively counter this growing menace.
Pakistan reaffirms its commitment to working closely with China, Tajikistan, and other regional partners to strengthen counter-terrorism cooperation and promote lasting peace, stability, and security in the shared neighbourhood.
