Military Repulses Large-Scale Aggression
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that security forces successfully repulsed coordinated attacks by banned organizations across Quetta, Mastung, Gwadar, and several other districts. In the ensuing operations, 92 terrorists were eliminated.
The military’s media wing confirmed that 15 security personnel and 18 civilians embraced martyrdom while defending against these assaults. The state has formally designated the perpetrators as “Fitna al Hindustan,” a term used to highlight the alleged role of Indian sponsorship in destabilizing the province.
Details of the Attacks and State Response
The terrorist activities targeted critical infrastructure, including:
- Law Enforcement: Attacks on police stations in Quetta and the burning of official records in Sariab.
- Civilian Institutions: Armed raids on banks in Hazarganji and Kalat.
- Judicial Breach: In Mastung, attackers broke into the district jail, resulting in a temporary breach of security before order was restored.
- Targeted Killings: The tragic assassination of the Mullazai Qaumi Etihad chairman and several local officials.
Interior Minister Points to External Interference
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has held India directly responsible for the surge in violence, labeling it the “main country” behind the financial and strategic planning of these terrorist activities. The Minister emphasized that the state would not be deterred and would continue its “all-out” operation to eliminate the remnants of Fitna al Hindustan.
